Transport zone maps
These maps are supplied by the Ministry of Education. They show the transport zones for each school, which are the main factor in deciding whether a student is eligible for school transport.

The Ministry of Education provides an interactive map showing transport zones for all schools in New Zealand. Enter your address to see which schools you are zoned for and whether you are eligible for school transport.

Each school has a defined transport zone set by the Ministry of Education. If your home is within a school's zone, that school is considered your closest school for transport eligibility purposes.
To qualify for free school transport, your child must attend their closest school (based on the zone map) and live beyond the minimum distance:

Year 1–6
4.8km
Year 7–13
